About Us

ECU Tuning Group, which was formerly Singh Autosport, was founded in Fremont, California in January 2004.

When the company started expanding throughout North America, the product (ECU tuning software) became synonymous with the brand. Thus, the natural evolution was to consolidate all our partners’ expertise and experience under the name ECU Tuning Group.

The services provided by us are now better reflected within the company name.

ECU Tuning Group is North America’s top vehicle performance software developer. With over 20 years of experience in reading, writing and developing vehicle performance software ETG has developed an international network of physical dealer locations ensuring extraordinary customer service and access to many different vehicle makes and models adding to our ever expanding library of performance software.

Nearly every vehicle on the road comes de-tuned to protect it from careless drivers, neglected maintenance and low quality fuel.

We provide solutions to reach your vehicles maximum power potential with a simple process requiring no physical alterations to the vehicle aside from one of our specially designed pulleys for supercharged applications. Our engineers download a copy of your vehicles unique software and then upload a modified file that will transform the cars performance giving improvements of fuel economy up 10%-15%, removal of the speed limiter and raised rpm resulting in increased in power and most importantly smooth and quick acceleration with no flat spots or hesitation all within a few hours.

Whether you drive a Mini Cooper or a Rolls Royce, our team of engineers and factory contacts guarantees that we will always have software upgrades for the latest models before any tuner in North America allowing the vehicles to perform like the factory engineers intended – leading maximized power and driving pleasure.

History

Every journey starts with that first mile. Not many industry leaders share their story with the rest of us, but here at ECU Tuning Group we are proud of our humble beginnings and the hard work involved in creating a prestigious brand.

Gill (CEO and Founder) began tuning European cars in his hometown in the suburbs of London (United Kingdom). Jag and his brother purchased their first Sierra Cosworth back in 1990. There weren’t any reputable tuners in West London at the time so they contacted Jeff Dewiit of Dewitts Race and Rally, who owned a shop way out in Llanelli (Wales). They Arranged to transport the Sierra Cosworth to Wales but after it returned the brothers knew there was still room for improvement.

They contacted Kevin Dribble of Turbo Systems, a professional tuning shop in Kilbrun, London. Both brothers spent a lot of time in Kilburn learning from the best.

From that point on, they caught the bug and developed a true passion for tuning vehicles.

During this period, the brothers spent a great deal of time at Brodey Brittain Racing and Turbo Technics. These companies are considered some of the pioneers in the industry.

The brothers went on to buy their first 911 Turbo flat nose (1989 model) in 1991. After tuning the 911 turbo, they went on to purchase and modify numerous cars including the Mercedes 560 SEC, BMW Motorsport, Lamborgini Cuntache and the CSL Alpina (Batmobile).

They made the covers of 3 major UK car magazines in the early 90’s, including Max Power and Performance BMW. They had performed a complete engine swap on a BMW 7 series, replacing it with a BMW M5 engine.

Eventually Jags moved to America, and after seeing the gap in the industry for quality European vehicle tuning, he decided to apply his expertise and many years of experience to the North American market.

Rest assured, at ECU Tuning Group, you are in very capable hands. Cars are our passion but our reputation has been built on quality service, attention to detail and our ability to stay ahead of the curve in every way.
